Firm Plans to Revolutionise Agriculture in Plateau

The Alfa Life Fertilisers International Limited has announced plans to revolutionise farming in the country.

The company’s chief strategy communication officer, Unwana Sunday, disclosed this while addressing extension workers of the Plateau Agricultural Development Project PADP in Jos.

He said the company intends to achieve this through strategic distribution of chemical-free and environmental friendly organic liquid fertilizers and other allied product specially formulated to protect the soils, reduce storage cost and richly transform farming while boosting crops yield by 200 per cent.

Sunday disclosed that the company is actively involved in educating farmers on the need to embrace organic farming practices in Nigeria and beyond in order to sustain healthy environment and quality life through organic farm produce.

According to him, for grains production in dry season, it has been established that Alfa Life fertilizers increased rice production and growth yield by 200 percent above control due to its capacity to provide the required sources of natural nutrients, in addition to being environmentally friendly .

He added that their product is recommended for all grains leafy vegetables and fruits trees/food/cash crop such as rice, maize, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, pepper, cassava, yams, pineapple, and banana.

Others are sugar cane, palm trees, mangoes, guava, oranges, cashew with very little modification in the application.

“Alfa Life has been tested in Nigerians’ soil and crops and has been approved by the federal ministry of agriculture and rural development, federal fertilisers department while three federal Universities, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ibadan Institute of Agriculture, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Institute of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Institute of Soil Science have carried out several field trials in all regions of Nigeria and attested to its efficacy,” he explained.
